Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 20, 2026

The App Lockr (the "app") is built and published by Ubersoft ("we," "us," "our"). This policy explains how the app handles your information. The short version: which apps you lock stays on your device, and we can't see it — the app has no way to send anything to us.

In plain terms
  • No account. No sign-up, no login, no profile.
  • No servers. Your list of locked apps and your settings live only on your device.
  • No internet permission. The app cannot access the internet at all — you can verify this yourself.
  • No fingerprint data. Unlocking uses Android's own biometric check — the app is only told whether it passed.

01 Information the app stores on your device

The app stores the list of apps you chose to lock, whether protection is switched on, and your preferences such as theme and language. All of it lives in the app's private storage on your device. It is not transmitted to us or to anyone else.

02 Information we collect

The app collects nothing. It has no account system, no server component, and — unusually for a modern app — requests no internet permission at all, so it has no technical means of sending your data anywhere. You can confirm this in your device's app settings. Nothing you do in the app is collected, received, or stored by us or by anyone else.

This website counts page views, which is described in section 03. That is the only thing we measure anywhere, and it is not connected to the app.

03 Analytics and advertising

The app contains no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, and no third-party tracking technologies. We do not build a profile of you, and the app does not use advertising identifiers.

This website is a separate thing, and it does count visits. theapplockr.com uses GoatCounter, a privacy-focused analytics service, to record that a page was viewed. It sets no cookies, does not store your IP address, cannot follow you to other sites, and never builds a profile of you. What it records is the page you looked at, the site that linked you here if there was one, your browser and screen size, and your country. None of that identifies you, and none of it is sold or shared.

The distinction is worth stating plainly rather than leaving you to notice it: the app on your phone cannot send anything anywhere, because it holds no internet permission and Android itself enforces that. This website is an ordinary website. Counting page views here has no connection to the app, which stays silent either way — and nothing the website sees is ever linked to anything on your phone.

04 Purchases

The App Lockr is a one-time paid app. Your purchase is processed by Google Play, not by us — we never see or store your payment details. Google's handling of your purchase and account information is governed by Google's own privacy policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy.

05 Permissions

The app asks for three things, each explained on its own setup screen, and nothing more:

  • Usage access: lets the app notice that a locked app has come to the front, so the lock screen can appear. It is read for that one fact only — never what is on the screen, what you type, or how long you use anything, and no history is kept.
  • Display over other apps: lets the lock screen appear in front of a protected app. That is the only thing it is used for.
  • Biometrics: unlocking uses Android's own biometric prompt. The check is performed entirely by your device's secure hardware; the app is only told whether it passed. Biometric data never enters the app and never leaves your device.

Notably absent: internet access. The app does not request it and cannot use it.

06 What the app can see — and what it can't

To do its job, the app knows which application just came to the foreground and compares it against your locked list, entirely on your device. It cannot read the content of other apps, cannot record your screen, and cannot log your activity. Nothing it observes is stored or transmitted — there is nowhere for it to go.

07 Children's privacy

The app is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region), and we do not knowingly collect information from children. Because the app collects no information at all, no personal information from any user — child or adult — is gathered by us.

08 Your choices and rights

Since we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, or delete on our side. You remain in full control on your device: unlock any app in the list, switch protection off, clear the app's data from your device settings, or uninstall it to remove everything. Depending on where you live — for example under the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA — you may have rights regarding personal data a company holds about you. We hold none.

09 Data security

Your settings never leave your device, so there is no central database about you for anyone to breach. The lock itself relies on your device's own screen-lock credentials and secure hardware — the same protection your phone already trusts. Keep your device's software up to date and its screen lock set; the app depends on both.

10 Third-party services

The app is distributed through Google Play and uses Google Play to process payment. Apart from that, the app does not send your information to any third party — it has no internet permission with which to do so.

This website loads files from one other company: GoatCounter, which counts page views. What it records and does not record is set out in section 03. Everything else this site serves — every script, stylesheet, font and image — comes from theapplockr.com itself, so no other company sees that you visited. There is no content delivery network, no font service, and no embedded widget.

11 Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and post the new version at theapplockr.com/privacy. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
